These images are from a pamphlet created for African American audiences. It includes information about causes, symptoms, testing, treatment, and effects. While it does use the word "syphilis" a few times, it primarily uses the phrase "bad blood" to refer to the illness. One detail shows a woman in a doorway, one shows a woman getting blood drawn for a test.
